This Remote Park In Rhode Island Is The Perfect Place To Escape

Despite its compact size, Rhode Island still has quite a few relatively remote spots, where we can find a bit of solitude. Some of the most beautiful landscapes, in fact, remain undeveloped, including much of this remote park in Westerly, Rhode Island. While it doesn’t boast a full menu of activities like many of its counterparts, Dr. John Champlin Glacier Park is idyllic for a scenic hike.
You can't miss the sign welcoming you to Dr. John Champlin Glacier Park and, if you look to the left, you'll also see a tree created by rocks.
Leashed pups are permitted in the park. Remember, too, that everything you take with you in the park you should bring back out with you.

When you arrive, park in one of two lots. The Tom Harvey Road lot has a dozen spaces and some street parking while the Shore Road lot has just three spaces.
