1. Gulf State Park

Located in Gulf Shores, Alabama, Gulf State Park is famous for its two miles of beautiful white-sand beaches. In addition to its family-friendly beaches, this 7,000-acre park also includes a championship golf course, pavilion, tennis courts, hiking trails and a fishing pier. 2. Orange Beach

The city of Orange Beach is a wonderful family vacation spot. It features miles of beautiful white-sand beaches and offers several attractions, including Alabama Gulf Coast Zoo and The Wharf.

3. Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge

Located in Baldwin and Mobile counties, the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge is nearly 7,000 acres and protects a variety of wildlife. This amazing refuge features five miles of incredible beaches and is one of the most beautiful places in Alabama. (12295 AL-180, Gulf Shores, AL 36542)

4. Fort Morgan

Fort Morgan is a famous historic site that's surrounded by three sides of incredible beaches. The beaches are for public use. However, the only access points to the beaches (unless you're staying somewhere that provides access) are located inside of the Bon Secour National Wildlife Refuge. Fort Morgan's beach area is far less crowded compared to nearby beaches.

5. May Day Park & Pier

6. Dauphin Island

Located in Mobile County, Alabama, Dauphin Island is a great family vacation spot. It's also the only pet-friendly beach in the region, so there's no need to leave Fido behind. Dauphin Island's naturally scenic beaches are a definite must visit this summer!

7. Fairhope Municipal Pier and Park
